Amalia Moca

REA Renewable Energy Association

Give us a brief description of your background

I am a Business Development Executive at the Renewable Energy Association, working closely with members, clients, and cross-sector stakeholders to support the growth of the UK renewable energy industry.

My daily work sits at the intersection of commercial engagement, policy awareness, and industry collaboration.

By working directly with companies of all sizes from, innovative start-ups to global corporations, I have gained a broad understanding of industry challenges and how business needs change as organisations grow.

Who/what inspires you?

I am inspired by environments that encourage continuous learning and by people who are willing to challenge the ordinary, particularly when it drives organisations to improve their environmental performance and contribute meaningfully towards reaching net zero.

What does the word leadership make you think of?

Leadership, to me, means empowering others to reach their potential. It is less about authority and more about guiding people through challenges with shared purpose.

How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?

I see it as an important opportunity to develop my leadership skills, expand my thinking, and learn from others’ experiences. I am particularly looking forward to challenging myself!

What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?

Education, responsible leadership, and collective accountability will play a critical role in driving meaningful progress to achieve a Sustainable Future.
