Give us a brief description of your background
I previously worked in hospitality for three years before joining the IAA in 2024. It was a completely new industry for me, but one that I have truly grown to love!
My job is a constant learning opportunity and working for a company with such a strong mission has been amazing.
Who/what inspires you?
My mum is definitely an inspiration; she tackles every challenge thrown at her and still has so much love and passion for the people in her life.
I’m also very lucky to know so many hardworking compassionate people in both my personal and professional life who inspire me every day.
What does the word leadership make you think of?
For me leadership is being able to guide a team toward their goal, with no one left behind. A good leader should be team focused and compassionate and encourage others to be their best, authentic selves.
How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?
I’m so excited to take part in the Future Leaders programme and grateful to have the opportunity. I’m looking forward to meeting and collaborating with people in the industry and learning skills to make me a better leader.
What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?
To create change we must start with awareness and education. Sustainable practices and awareness should be taught at all levels starting right down in primary schools.
So many people don’t understand the true impact we have on the planet or why sustainability is important. Taking the time to educate people in all walks of life is the first step to making sustainable living accessible and attainable.
