The Green Economy

Give us a brief description of your background

I have been working in the green technologies and services sector for four years. I work with green tech businesses across Greater Manchester, helping them to become stronger, more resilient organisations. I love being able to provide funded opportunities to help grow this very important sector!

Who/what inspires you?

I know it’s cheesy, but genuinely the people I love inspire me the most. My sister inspires me with her resilience and leadership. My parents inspire me with their generosity. Friends inspire me to challenge myself and stand up for my beliefs. Also got to shoutout nature, for calming me down and putting things into perspective.

What does the word leadership make you think of?

It makes me think of people who will back you, support you, and encourage you to grow. Leadership to me is about effective communication, understanding a team’s strengths and cultivating them. Compassion and fairness are two adjectives that I think of when I think of a good leader.

How do you feel about taking part in the Future Leaders programme?

I am so excited! To be a part of the Future Leaders programme is such an amazing opportunity. I feel so grateful to be supported and thought of as a potential future leader.

What do you think are the keys to a sustainable future?

Legislation, investment, and behaviour change are three things that I think are vital to ensuring a sustainable future. We need everyone to understand the importance of making changes, and need to incentivisation to do so.
